We are delighted to share the results of SWAN’s first elections and to officially introduce our inaugural slate of elected officers. Thank you to everyone who participated! This marks an exciting milestone in the growth of our network.
Please join us in congratulating our new leadership team:
- Ruopeng An, PhD, MPP, President, Constance and Martin Silver Endowed Professor in Data Science and Prevention; Director, Constance and Martin Silver Center on Data Science and Social Equity, NYU Silver School of Social Work
- Joyce Lee, PhD, MS, MSW, LCSW, Vice President, Assistant Professor, College of Social Work; Director of the Child and Family Wellbeing Laboratory, Ohio State University
- Fan Yang, PhD, MSW, Secretary, Assistant Professor, School of Social Work, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
We also want to celebrate the success of our SWAN gathering and the many SWAN-affiliated presentations at last week’s SSWR conference in Washington, DC. It was energizing to see so many members together in one place, sharing work, exchanging ideas, and building momentum for this community. We’re pleased to include a few photos from the gathering below to capture some of that spirit.
As SWAN continues to grow, we are also seeking 1–2 volunteers to help launch new SWAN committees in Membership and Programming. Serving on a committee is a wonderful way to get more involved in SWAN, help shape its future, and build your professional service experience.
